18 months ago I ordered a steel veranda kit thinking I would be able to assemble it myself. Having never constructed anything before it soon became apparent that I was faced with a somewhat confusing set of instructions and a daunting pile of assorted pieces of steel frame, screws nuts, bolts, sheets of iron and plastic and lacking the necessary tools I was going to have some difficulty with my project. I therefore started making enquiries for a suitable tradesperson who was prepared to assemble and erect the structure over a weekend.

I duly engaged Jon’s services and the weekend following my initial contact with him he arrived at dawn on the Saturday and worked through till dusk. He returned again early on Sunday and by 2.00pm I was the proud owner of a new veranda.

Although Jon had not seen the plans for the veranda before he arrived he was quickly able to sort the heap of materials out into an order for construction and using his extensive array of specialist tools he made short work of a project that I am sure would have taken me a fortnight to complete.
