From the moment this home was transformed from devastation into a beautifully renewed space, Joncol’s craftsmanship and attention to detail were unmistakable — qualities recognised by the 2025 HIA Victorian Awards, where this project was awarded Best Renovation / Addition Project in the $750k – $1M category. This once-magnificent home was tragically lost to a devastating fire. But from the ashes, a stunning rebirth took place.

Fortunately the first few original rooms were in salvageable condition and were mostly refreshed in the original style. As for the rear two storey section however, the entire interior was devastated and needed to be rebuilt including the second story and attic roof.

With now a blank canvas, no expense has been spared in creating a luxurious and sophisticated interior. Sleek and modern materials including stainless steel countertops, custom cabinetry, and top-of-the-line appliances adorn every room.

Adding character and warmth and connecting old to new, a blackbutt timber floor runs from the front door through to the rear whilst a polished concrete topping,  sleek lighting and minimalist furnishings bring a fresh and contemporary feel.

The transformed home is a testament to the power of renewal. It combines the charm of the past with the conveniences and style of the present.
