The Insta House

We love a project where the Owners are constantly on pinterest/ Instagram and exploring design features. Incorporating the latest design trends into a renovation project adds a lot of fun and personality and keeps us tradies on our toes. To carefully balance the risk of being time stamped by the trends of today, the Owners elected for neutral tones and quality fittings throughout to ensure the home remains on trend for decades to come.

With only minor tweeks to the floor plan, this well sized home received a refreshing fit out from top to toe inside and out. Both the upper balcony and front porch were tiled with timeless bluestone. The exterior received a paint facelift all over and the front doors were refreshed in black. New flooring was installed throughout the ground floor with the American oak boards continuing up thestaircase and matched in vertical fins.

Meticulously designed cabinetry was fit throughout the house with a few real key features; the fireplace joinery features a base cabinet with mesh doors to hide the subwoofer, a recessed TV area aligned with gas fireplace and floating shelves crafted from the American oak flooring with under LED lighting. The set down living area also features a coffered ceiling lined with moody LED lights creating a very boujee atmosphere.

The kitchen is complete with oversized island and of course a butlers pantry is fit out with quality Miele appliances. Two bathrooms and two powder rooms were all renovated and tiled floor to ceiling, fit with custom vanities and LED mirrors. Similarly styled the laundry is well appointed, a rare luxury in today’s inner west homes.
